What Drives Party Bus Rates

Size, not distance. Party bus rates are hourly, so the number that moves your total is how many hours you book and which bus you need. The 24-passenger Limo Party Bus runs $275/hr; the 30-passenger XL is $400/hr. If your group is 26 people, you are paying XL rates — so it is worth getting a firm headcount before you call rather than after.

The minimum is four hours. That is the industry norm for party buses in New Orleans and it exists because the vehicle is committed to you for the evening. A three-hour night still bills four.

Event weekends move everything. Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Saints and LSU home games, Essence and Super Bowl weekends all run on different pricing and different availability, and parade routes close streets that change where a bus can legally stop. Call dispatch before booking on any of those dates rather than assuming the rate card applies.

What is not extra: the chauffeur, fuel for a normal itinerary, and a clean vehicle. We do not charge a cleaning fee as standard, and we do not surge-price a Saturday.

How Many People Actually Fit

Capacity on paper and capacity on a Saturday night are different numbers. A 24-passenger bus seats 24 people who are sitting down. If half your group wants to stand, dance and move around, it feels full at eighteen. Wedding parties in formal dresses take up more room than a birthday group in jeans, and if anyone is bringing coolers, gifts or luggage, that comes out of the same space.

Our honest guidance: book the size above your headcount if the evening involves dancing, formalwear or a long itinerary, and book to the number if it is a straightforward transfer between two venues. Dispatch will tell you which applies when you describe the night — we would rather size it right than have you uncomfortable for four hours.

Both buses have interior lighting, a sound system you can connect to, and cold storage. Alcohol is permitted for passengers of legal drinking age; glass is not, and neither is smoking. The chauffeur is not a bartender and will not serve.

Booking a Party Bus in the French Quarter

Worth knowing before you plan the night: a 30-passenger bus cannot pick up on most French Quarter streets. They are narrow, frequently one-way, and closed to large vehicles during events. We stage pickups on Canal Street, Convention Center Boulevard or your hotel’s porte-cochere instead, which is usually a short walk and always faster than a bus attempting Bourbon Street. Our dispatchers will tell you the right corner when you book.
