Why Book a Party Bus in New Orleans

New Orleans is a walking city right up until it is not. The distance between a Garden District hotel, a Warehouse District dinner and a Frenchmen Street show is short on a map and miserable in heels at 1am. Splitting a group across separate vehicles creates separate routes, prices, and pickup plans. A party bus keeps the selected group together with one chauffeur and a confirmed itinerary.

A party bus in New Orleans solves the logistics by making the vehicle part of the night. Your group stays together, the music is yours, drinks are on board, and the chauffeur waits while you are inside. Nobody is nominated as the designated driver and nobody is negotiating with an app at closing time.

We offer a range of vehicle options, and the party bus is the vehicle people book when the ride is supposed to be part of the celebration rather than a gap between stops.

Party Bus New Orleans Rates

Most operators hide their pricing. Ours is here. Every figure below is the all-in total: the 20 percent gratuity and the 10 percent fuel surcharge are already inside it.

VehicleCapacityHourlyMinimumTotal, all in
Limo Party Bus24 passengers$275/hr4 hours$1,430
Limo Party Bus XL35 passengers$400/hr4 hours$2,080

Doing a single transfer rather than an evening? A point-to-point party bus transfer is $634 (24 passenger) or $855 (35 passenger). Extra stops, waiting, and any resulting hourly billing are quoted for the itinerary. Cancellations on party buses need 72 hours notice. See the full rate card or the party bus rate page.

What People Book a New Orleans Party Bus For

Bachelorette & Bachelor Parties

The most common reason people book a party bus in New Orleans. Bourbon Street, Frenchmen Street, and the Warehouse District in one night without anyone driving or hunting for parking.

Birthdays & Milestones

21st, 30th, 40th, 50th. The bus becomes the venue between stops, with your own music and your own drinks on board.

Weddings & Wedding Parties

Move the entire wedding party from hotel to ceremony to reception in one vehicle. No one gets lost, no one is late, and photos happen on the way.

Saints & Superdome Game Days

Tailgate, drop off near the Dome, and follow the confirmed return pickup plan after the final whistle. Event access and timing are reviewed when you book.

Mardi Gras & Festival Season

Parade routes close streets across the city. A chauffeur who works Carnival every year knows which crossings are still open and when.

Corporate & Group Outings

Team events, client entertaining, and conference groups. One invoice, one vehicle, and everyone arrives together.

Published Rates, No Haggling

Most New Orleans party bus companies hide pricing behind a quote form. Ours is on this page. You know what a party bus in New Orleans costs before you pick up the phone.

Chauffeurs Who Know the Quarter

A 30-foot bus does not fit down every French Quarter street. Our chauffeurs know which corners a party bus can actually turn, and where you can legally load and unload downtown.

Licensed, Insured, Inspected

Shuttle Management Services LLC, LPSC certificated and fully insured. Every party bus is commercially inspected. Ask any operator for their certificate number before you book.

Booking a Party Bus in New Orleans: What to Know

  • Where a party bus can actually stop. Bourbon Street is closed to vehicles in the evenings and much of the French Quarter cannot take a 30-foot bus. We load and unload at the nearest legal point, usually Canal, Decatur or Rampart, which is a short walk from most destinations.
  • Build the route before the night. Give us your stops in advance. Carnival parade routes, Superdome events and second lines close streets with little notice, and a chauffeur who knows the schedule will route around them instead of sitting in them.
  • Glass and smoking. No glass on board and all vehicles are non-smoking. Cans, plastic and the on-board champagne service are all fine.
  • Peak dates sell out. Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Festival, Super Bowl weekend and New Year's Eve are the dates our party buses go first. Mardi Gras also carries event-date terms on affected days, call dispatch and we will tell you before you commit.
  • Bigger than 35? We run 23 and 32 passenger executive buses and a 56 passenger motor coach. See the full fleet or the party bus lineup.

Party Bus New Orleans FAQs

How much does a party bus in New Orleans cost?

A 24-passenger limo party bus is $275 per hour with a 4-hour minimum, which is $1,430 all in. The 35-passenger XL is $400 per hour with the same 4-hour minimum, or $2,080 all in. Both totals already include the 20 percent gratuity and 10 percent fuel surcharge, so the number you see is the number you pay. Point-to-point transfers are also available at $634 and $855 respectively.

How many people fit on a New Orleans party bus?

Our limo party bus seats 24 and the XL seats 35. Seating is wraparound, so the stated capacity is comfortable rather than a squeeze. For groups larger than 35 we run executive buses and a 56-passenger motor coach, and larger groups are often split across two vehicles travelling together.

Can we drink on a party bus in New Orleans?

Yes. Passengers of legal drinking age may drink on board, and the buses have coolers and a champagne bar. Open containers are legal for passengers in a chartered vehicle in Louisiana, and your chauffeur is of course not drinking. We ask that no glass is brought aboard and that nothing leaves the vehicle at stops.

Can a party bus drive down Bourbon Street?

No, and no operator who tells you otherwise is being straight with you. Bourbon Street is pedestrianised in the evenings and much of the French Quarter is too narrow for a 30-foot vehicle. We drop off and collect at the closest legal loading point, usually on Canal, Decatur, or Rampart, which is a short walk from wherever you are heading.

How far in advance should I book a party bus in New Orleans?

Book early for high-demand dates such as Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, Essence Festival, Super Bowl weekend, and New Year's Eve. Vehicle availability, the current quote, and cancellation terms are confirmed for the requested reservation.

Is gratuity included in the party bus rate?

Yes. Every rate quoted on this page already includes a 20 percent gratuity for your chauffeur and a 10 percent fuel surcharge. There is no separate tip expected at the end of the night, though you are welcome to add one for exceptional service.
